I have a problem - I have a satellite internet connection to one part of our site and want internet on another part of the same site. Ethernet is out of the question to link the two up as there is 400m between them and no easy way of providing power at 100m intervals for switches.
Currently we are linking with wireless but the system is highly unstable. I would like to run a cable instead.
My question is : if I bought two domestic type adsl modems (I could buy a pair of 3com 810 remote adsl routers) could I connect these together with phone cable and have a home made broadband set up between the sides of our site?
Logic suggests this should work but does anyone know if it will work?
