    [SOLVED] Wine Internet Explorer

    Hi everybody.

I installed Wine the other day and have noticed that it installed a version of Internet Explorer. As a web developer i found this a rather nice surprise.

Sadly it doesn't look like it works. I run the .exe file but it doesn't look like it does anything. All that happens is that a new window appears with the header "Wine Internet Explorer". Nothing else inside the window loads.

If anybody could help me out it would be fantastic

Look at ies4linux in Google. Pretty simple to install IE that way.

Why oh why do you want Safari? Firefox/Konqueror/Epiphany are all better IMHO but if you must

I have tried this and nothing I do will install IE at all. I follow the instructions to the letter and it stops installing saying "a problem occurred extracting a cab file".

I have also tried the WINE-Doors IE install and it justs does nothing.

I'm having the same problem, CAB errors. CABExtract is installed.

Google is reporting http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/page/main_page as an "attack site" today. Is there any other source?
