Download the Ubuntu ISO and open it with your disc-burning program. If you don't have one, I recommend Burn (assuming you're running Mac OS X).

You can burn it with the Apple Disk Utility. Don't mount the .iso image you downloaded.

Tiresia's right. Just use Apple's disk utility. Drag the downloaded pc iso file into the left-hand pane of disk utility. Highlight it, and then click on burn.
Remember to burn at a low enough speed for your pc's cdrom to handle if the drive itself is old/slow.
