ZA forums seem to be dead...

    Hey guys,

Not even 100% sure what this sub forum is supposed to be but I am also from SA and well this place just seems like a ghost town.

What does the ZA Team actually mean/do?

    Thanks

its is a sub forum for people who use ubuntu from south africa. Think of it kind of like a Linux Users Group. Apparently though there arent many ubuntu users in south africa.

Find this hugely alarming As it was founded by an South African...

I just wanted to see who from South Africa would look at these posts. I wanted to get involved in some how. I feel the need to give back in some way.

    It is quite alarming...
But I discovered this forum after a few months of using Ubuntu.

I think most people go to the main ubuntu forums or some or other blog that gives HOWTO's.

I thing he means this "sub" forum. What do you call the sub directories of the forums.

Ubuntu Forums > The Ubuntu Forum Community > Other Community Discussions > Ubuntu LoCo Team Forums > International LoCo Teams > Za Team - South Africa >

What are the different terms for parent/child relation ship?

Please read the sticky threads guys.
There is plenty happening, and there is nothing stopping you to join in.

As stated by one of the sticky threads, go check out the wiki page.

When last did you go to the wiki?
Latest modified should be very recent.
As for pages with no infomation, we have just moved our wiki over to new systems, and migration is still underway, but everything should be up to speed soon.

Also, most of the discussions take place on the mailinglist, so its very important to subscribe to the mailinglist (also detailed in the stikies).

But if you feel that there is not enough going on, or nothing that interests you, then feel free to start something. Our work as a community will only work if people take charge. It will also be worth your while to check out #ubuntu-za on the FreeNode IRC network. Not much happens there normally, but every so often we will hold a meeting there to discuss issues such as moving certain projects forward.
