Last I tried some nautilus-python extensions in 13.04, nautilus-python itself showed issue, so none would run of those attempted. (inc. the example extensions in the package.

Mm ye you're right, and apparently it's a confirmed bug and all: https://bugs.launchpad.net/arronax/+bug/1174109
upstream bug -

LP- https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...n/+bug/1170017
Checking the filelist in the 32 bit libpython2.7 shows this so 32 bit may also be affected -

Well a fix was applied in 13.10 that fixes amd64 installs but some tests here show i386 also affected.
Suggestions to ck. that in the report were ignored so went ahead & modified my orig. patch to allow extensions to load for both archs in 13.04 & placed in a ppa. (amd64 done, i386 queued

Hi
I successfully added the columns nautilus extension according to the 12.04 webupd8 page. Now I have an "artist" column for my mp3s, which helps quite a lot. But what I really want is to display the "comments" column. I use this to insert my own date code, the date I created the mp3, (I create a lot of mp3 in Audacity) and it makes sorting easier. I used this column in windows all the time. Does anyone know if I can get Nautilus to display the "comments" column?
I have Ubuntu 12.04
Is bsc-v2.py still actively working on? I installed the version packaged on WebUpd8 and it is working as expected. My problem is that I am looking to add DwC metadata support and am not sure how to go about doing that.
One problem is that exiv2 does not support DwC. Exiftool does but it looks difficult (at least for me!) to change bsc-v2.py to use exiftool.
PyExifTool is available here: http://smarnach.github.io/pyexiftool/
Could anyone provide some hints on using pyexiftool in bsc-v2.py?
Note: Darwin Core (DwC) is a XMP metadata standard used for sharing biodiversity information. I am working on getting this added to various tools to allow researchers in the field to easily add and edit DwC metadata to their images, such as those captured with camera traps.
