how do I install to acer aspire one?

A few people have been talking about running Ubuntu on it. I have to confess, I'm curious - without a CDrom how do you install?

Are these 'smart' enough to boot from a USB cdrom?

USB mem stick?

Special steps needed if I wanted to boot from USB mem stick, other then copying the filesystem from the ubuntu CD?

Not noob with linux, but noob with cdrom-less laptops, any assistance appreciated.
