    Power saving laptop

So, on my Windows I was able to toggle between balanced and power saver. Using balanced, I got ~1 hour battery. With power saver, I was able to get two to three hours of battery. On Ubuntu, I can only get ~1:30 battery. Is there any applet I can install (I'm using GNOME 2.x on Natty) to toggle into a power saving mode (toggle pm-powersave or something similar?)?
