Help me to buy a new Desktop PC compatible with Ubuntu

Hi guys, I want to buy a new Desktop PC, so I want your help to make it FULL Ubuntu Linux compatible. I have a big budget for it, so I want to buy a superior computer. I have about 1100$ for it.
I’m thinking about these specifications for my new computer:
    CPU: INTEL Core 2 Quad Q6600 8MB L2 Cache G0.
    Motherboard: ASUS motherboard.
    RAM: Kingston 4GB RAM.
    Graphics Card: ASUS.
    H.D: WD 500 GB.
    Chassis: ASUS.
    PSU: 400W or 500W Amarox .
Actually I already decided to buy the previous Intel processor, but I haven’t decided anything for the rest of the components. Please guys I’m waiting your help to complete the rest. I hope that you give me the names of components that you use to make sure that the components were tested before I buy them. As I told you, I want it complete Ubunut Linux compatible.
I hope that you focus on ASUS components cuz I think they’re the best.
    Thanks.

It seems fine for me your build. As far as you don't get a ATI card . I will try to make a better build with you budget and post it later.
Don't use the command Rm -rf if you don't fully know what you are doing it can seriously damage ur system

For one, ATI hasn't been great for providing linux drivers for their video cards. Even now if you go to their website you can't download drivers for their latest 4000 series video cards.

That's a big priority for me too with the computer I'm building now, which is why I'm looking at an Intel motherboard with built-in X3500 graphics.

Oh thanks a lot for this advise, i'll never buy a ATI card.
But does nvidia provide the same driver for both Windows and Linux? i.e is the Linux's driver as powerful as the windows ones?

Cool Re: Help me to buy a new Desktop PC compatible with Ubuntu

Go to www.system76.com and buy one of thier's.
If at first you don't succeed - just buy the company and tell them to make the one you want.

Heres the link for known compatible hardware to give you a start, I would recommend an nVidia video card also

sorry steveneddy, but i didn't like it!
Can anybody suggest a good motherboard for the processor?
Intel doesn't provide any support for choosing a good motherboard for its processors. I like AMD cuz they offer support for the motherboards, but i don't want to buy a Phenom cuz the INTEL quad is far better.
