    Post How do i open a terminal?

    I am trying to to restore Grub from a live Ubuntu cd and it says on the help page "When you get to the desktop open a terminal and enter" where is that terminal thats being mentioned?

    Applications(Ubuntu logo menu)->Accessories->Terminal

    Alternatively, right click on the panels on the top or the bottom and add a terminal(console)

    That should work.

    Press Alt+F2 and input "gnome-terminal" (w/o double quote) and press the Enter key.
    Steady movement is more important than speed, much of the time. So long as there is a regular progression of Stimuli to get your mental hooks into, there is room for lateral movement. Once this begins, its rate is a matter of discretion.
