Where can I find the location of gedit? I'm asking because I'm trying to open a text file on Firefox, and it asks me to find the program to open it with.

/usr/bin/gedit
You can use whereis in a terminal to find any installed program afaik
as an exampleCode:whereis gedit
Application > Accessories > Text Editor.
Be Safe. Use Linux.
Double your drive space. Delete Windows.
The /usr/bin/gedit is just a link to the real program.
Windows, only good for gaming.
