    Hi daddypawid,

It depends on your graphics chip and what you are trying to do. For example the ATI video drivers/chipsets don't support rotation of the screen with Compiz (the cube). You can have one or the other.

What sort of tablet pc do you have?

    tx2110us

I had had the compiz up and running... then i tampered with the xorg and it died.... but seeing that jaunty apparantly will enable the touch and stylis through other means then the xorg... it might be worth waiting for Janty before I give to much effort into tampering with stylus

    Hi Everyone,

This is a continuation of post #476. It looks like there may be a few glitches with the non-xorg.conf HAL/.fdi file dBUS method in Jaunty. While that shakes out it appears you can still get Wacom in Jaunty. Just go to the Compile HOW TO: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1038949 and compile 0.8.3-2. Make sure that libhal1-dev is not installed when you compile, otherwise you'll get unwanted HAL features.

    Hi daddypawid,

    I have a TX2110us also.

    Hi unterfuhrer,

If you have kernel 2.6.27-11 I assume you have Intrepid (8.10). What version of linuxwacom were you trying to compile?

    Anyway go to: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1038949

And compile linuxwacom using the HOW TO default version 0.8.2-2. This is an updated gali98 tutorial.

    Hi jroemusic,

What are you doing where you are not allowed to be root? In other words what command are you entering?

Did you by any chance edit your /etc/sudoers ?
