    Sync program in Linux

    Hi.

I'm looking for a good sync program to syncronise files on my computer's hard drive with an external hard drive?
So far I have been using Microsoft's Synctoy in Windows which has a nice, easy to use GUI and a cool preview feature.
Is there sth similar in Ubuntu?
    Grateful for any help.

Try grsync. It is pretty much adaptable to syncing files for every purpose you can think of. It's in Add/Remove, you can install it from there.

(It installs in the Internet menu)

    You could also try conduit

i use unison to sync folders. it works great. can sync on local folders or with a remote server through ssh which is what i use it for (backups only changed files securely over the net).

i guess a script could be created to sync automatically upon hdd insertion.
