Help! to choose 32Bit or 64Bit

    Hi
I am in the process of upgrading my PC with the following:
    CPU: AMD Athlon 64 LE-1620 2.4Ghz
    Mobo: Biostar MCP6P-M2
    RAM: 2x1GB DDR2 PC2-4200
HDD: Hitachi 160GB SATA II 7200RP
    PSU: 450W Win Power.

Could someone advice me which is better to run on this machine, whether 7.10 or 8.04.
I would also appreciate your advice on whether I should have 64 Bit OS or 32Bit. My operating needs are Internet Browsing,Word Processing,Spreadsheet, little bit Music downloading,Some school work for my daughter.
I am not a gamer and I do not do much photo or video editing.
    Thanks in Advance.

I would recommend installing 8.04 instead of 7.10. For your needs and system, you probably won't see much of a difference between 32bit and 64bit but, you can read through this thread to help you decide: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=368607
Don't try to make something "fast" until you are able to quantify "slow".
