Vinagre [VNC Client] Password Length Limit

Hello,

I'm trying to use Vinagre to connect to remote machines, but am unable to do so because the Vinagre password length is limited to eight characters.

All the remote machines (about fifty or sixty) have the same VNC password configured, and it is twelve characters long.

It isn't feasible to change the passwords on all of them - it took long enough to set up in the first place!

I'd appreciate any help you can give me - I'm trying to prove to my boss that Ubuntu would make a useful tool on our network, which is entirely Microsoft 2003 Servers & XP clients.

(We currently use UltraVNC, by the way.)

Much disapointment. Just use a different VNC client homie. KRDC is nice, or the commandline vncviewer host:# .

I am annoyed that Vino (the server) only allows 8 character password setup right now. I'll probably be changing to a different server soon. Yay Linux-configurability ey?
