Using a laptop as a wireless adapter

I used to be able to share my wireless internet from my laptop to my Xbox 360 on windows so I could play Xbox live. I do not know how to do that on Ubuntu. How do you do it?

Good luck finding an easy solution for this question. (There are security concerns that arise).

I do have an ethernet cable. I mean I feel like I would be better of installing windows, because it worked on Windows when I used to do it.

There is a difference between an ethernet cable and a ethernet crossover cable.

You do not need a crossover cable with an Xbox 360 only the original needs one. Maybe the bellow links can help you but I don't think so since they have not helped me.

Install firestarter (from add/remove) and click the option to share your internet. You can specify to share the wireless out the ethernet jack to another computer.

    Yey, iptables.
