I used to be able to share my wireless internet from my laptop to my Xbox 360 on windows so I could play Xbox live. I do not know how to do that on Ubuntu. How do you do it?

You need a ethernet crossover cable.

Good luck finding an easy solution for this question. (There are security concerns that arise).
I do have an ethernet cable. I mean I feel like I would be better of installing windows, because it worked on Windows when I used to do it.
This is basically what I want and I used to do it in windows

You do not need a crossover cable with an Xbox 360 only the original needs one. Maybe the bellow links can help you but I don't think so since they have not helped me.

Good luck.
Install firestarter (from add/remove) and click the option to share your internet. You can specify to share the wireless out the ethernet jack to another computer.
Yey, iptables.
this is an old guide on networking your xbox but still seems to be working today you should check it out good luck!!!
