Question Trying to patch Snood to run in wine

I've been running Ubuntu on two machines now for a week (noob) and am trying to babystep out and about a little.

I installed the latest wine and have used it to run pokerstars for me (felt like an accomplishment).

I installed Snood and it seemed to install well but is buggy and doesn't work. I've done some searching and it seems like there is a patch from 2004 that is supposedly still relevant: http://www.winehq.com/pipermail/wine...st/014802.html

The problem is that I have no idea how to use this patch and couldn't really find a guide for it anywhere. Just hoping someone can help point me in the right direction and get me back to working on getting this thing to run.

    Thanks

If its known lost cause, could someone at least tell me so that I can give up? I seem to have the same issue as to what the patch (text) is supposed to fix.

Re: Trying to patch Snood to run in wine

I had the same problem =\ Opens up, but display is a little screwed up and doesn't refresh properly. Snood was a little buggy in windows, let alone those being bugs being emphasized in wine in whatever flavor of *nix. I'm curious if it's a Direct 3d problem coupled with Snood itself. Snood runs functionality-wise, but the display doesn't refresh and that is what leads me to think D3D in wine could be the culprit.

Thumbs down Re: Trying to patch Snood to run in wine

Not a solution, but a suggestion. Snood is just a clone of puzzle bobble a.k.a bust a move. So why not try

Same here! I've not fund a way to use the mouse in Frozen Bubbles, or to turn the music off
