HP dv2500 Nasty Sound problem
I have a HP Pavilion laptop, on which I just installed Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron). I can hear sound, but it is terribly distorted on MP3's and system sounds. It appeared that I had no problems with the installation, but now I'm sure something isn't correct. Playing MP3's with either rhythmbox or VLC sounds horrible. Any common problems or solutions that can help?
