I installed Heron on my Aspire One today, using unetbootin.

Create the Live USB through unetbootin on your main computer, I just opened it up in windows. On your netbook press f12 when it is booting, and put "USB HDD" to the top of your boot list. Restart your netbook with your usb plugged in, and it should boot off your USB, it'll have an option on your desktop to install, and that takes forever.

The really hard part is trying to get the wifi card working.
That said, does anybody know what Atheros chipset is in the aspire one?
