Lightbulb Forum Sandbox for practicing posting?

    Just a thought.

On the French Ubuntu Forum site, there is a category at the bottom of the list called "Ephemeral" which is wiped clean frequently & is specifically there to allow first-time posters to practice without being a nuisance or embarrassing themselves, and other posters to try attaching images, quotes etc.

    Seems like a good idea.

I didn't find anything like that here yet...

    Worth a try?

I'm a member on an other forum, where very few members work well with computers. There is a section of that forum called technical assistance, where members test posting pictures, banners and ask for help if they have problems posting.

Well, there's a Forum Council meeting on Monday (hit up the Forum Council link on the navbar at the top of this page for the date & agenda), then would be a good time to get something rolling.

Though FF&H (here) has served this purpose in the past, so..

I think it's a good idea. Like drubin, I'm not sure how many people would use it, but I am sure that it would help those that would.

I remember a time many years ago when I was completely new to computers and the internet and wasn't comfortable doing some things because I was afraid I might screw something up .

I would add it to the agenda, but I'm not sure I can make the meeting.

    I don't think it's necessary.

I wouldn't say it's "necessary" either. However, it could be useful, assuming it doesn't cause too much of a drain on the forums resources.
