Slackware 12.1 with Openbox
theme is Bygone light which I found in urukrama's weblog (great site for any openbox user or similar light wm user) along with tint2 panel (tintrc script once again from urukrama's weblog) with conky on the bottom.

how did you do that?

Well, first I removed all the other applets I had there. Next, you have to right-click on your xfce-panel and choose Customize Panel. Then slide the Transparency to 100%. Place the panel on the bottom right corner of the screen. That is important to ensure that maximized apps won't cover Tint2, which is also at the bottom of the screen (I don't know other strategies to keep it visible under Xfce). Since my Tint has a 34 pixels height, make your xfce-panel have the same size. And... That's pretty much it. Then you just have to configure Tint and Trayer. I quoted some config files some posts ago.

http://code.google.com/p/tint2/ might want to look that over a bit and yes there is a conf file like conky but no GUI to change it as far as I know of which isn't much since I just started using it today

I quoted my tintrc (Tint2's config text file) some posts ago. But here is my current one after I modded it for this wallpaper I'm using now:

Just tried Mandriva and installed it over my Ubuntu installation. No I haven't defected, just using what I like. Mandriva did really well with supporting everything out of the box, wireless, NVIDIA drivers, everything. I was very impressed. With Ubuntu, you have to "try" a little more. Not saying that's a bad thing though, I've learned a lot through using it.

Regardless, here is the screenshot. Pretty generic.
