Oh, and by the way, Tint-0.6.0 was released yesterday. It already acts like other panels do, automatically keeping a margin of the screen for itself. So there is no need to set a margin on your DE/WM settings anymore. Way cool. Tint2 is getting better and better!

Thanks for the heads up. I hope they plan on adding a systray. If they do I'll finally be able to ditch pypanel for something that is still being developed.

I have a problem with tint, I was wondering if anybody knew since the conversation was just there a moment ago. I downloaded, make, sudo make install and had no errors. Now when I run tint, I got a panel, but it is in a seperate window, not on the desktop. I even saved the config What is in a Name? put on here as ~/.tintrc, then ran

$ tint ~/.tintrc

, but same result. Anyone have any ideas?

What jordanmthomas said. And I had already posted my own Conky config file some pages ago when I was using this same desktop, but with a different wallpaper. The only difference between my Conky config and andrek's one is that he has a line for the currently playing track on MPD and the clock is on the line below. I have both in the same line, for a sort of a cascade effect.
