    The Lightweight screeny thread

Ok, so, here are the rules

    1. Stay within rules, safe for the kids
    2. Don't post anything that has chances of screwing up s'ones system
    3. KDE/GNOME/xfce not allowed. Only *boxes and other lightweight WM's
    4. Try to save the bandwidth by hosting on other sites. And remove useless areas of the image
    5. Take a moment and tell everyone the details of your desktop, such as the theme name, the wallpaper name, the icons and any programs you're using in the image.

    I'll start
    Code:
    System : Arch Linux
    WM : OpenBox
    GTK Theme : Simplex
    OpenBox theme : PixelStyle
Wallpaper : Got it from here, many more available

    ENJOY!!

*points to sticky at the top of the forum* Just post the screenshots there, not here. No need for a duplicate thread which segragates.

I know, but those are included in the screenshot thread sticky. There is no need to segragate it when there is an appropriate topic in which they can be posted.

Re: July 2008 Desktop Screenshot thread

I think that my desktop is approaching it's state of perfection (as perceived by me and limited by the abilities of myself and the software I use).
The idea of my desktop is similar to the one of urukrama. I use my own Fluxbox theme and a Murrine theme with modified sources, so the window and it's contents blend. When I maximize a window, the toolbar appears over the titlebar of the window and again blend with the content of the window. Also, the toolbar is invisibly shorter on the right side, so I can still click the invisible "x" to close a window.

    Fluxbox: Sliver Aurora
Gtk: Murrine Engine with modified source code. The theme itself was Murrine Deviant some time ago.
Icons: My favorite Gnome and Tango icons.
    Wallpaper: shelest.deviantart.com

This is how fullscreen looks, kinda like tabs. Here are screenshots of some other programs I have customized at source code level:
    liferea
    evince
    file-roller

You can also see a script I wrote - it checks my gmail account and puts the number of unread emails on the thunderbird icon in the "dock". The date icon in the dock shows the current date.

Re: July 2008 Desktop Screenshot thread

Another dark theme from me (I posted one last month too), which makes it look like I use them often. In reality, I very rarely use a dark theme (they tend to get old quickly); I guess I just never post my light ones...

Anyway, here is mine for now. I saw WALL-E recently and really like it (very creative). I found the wallpaper on the movie's website, and decided to make a theme around it. I think it turned out pretty nice.

    Operating System: Archlinux
    Window Manager: Openbox
    Openbox theme: Breathe Purple
    Panel: pypanel
GTK Theme: Custom (purple) modification of Nodoka-Midnight
Icons: Based mainly on Crux; created with Tango Icon Generator

If you want any other info, just ask.
