    You could try sauerbraten. It's an open source FPS game (works with linux / windows / mac) with very very nice graphics.

    Once installed, tweak up all the extra graphics options, and load up a pretty map / go online.
    Some maps a very nicely made, others are ok.

    Sauerbraten won't stress your CPU or RAM though, and probably won't stress your video card that much. (Turn on bloom and everything else though).

    UT3 on Vista rocks, sick of dual booting Ubuntu rules. Linux intermediate user name is Lonnie. Hope you guys are all well and enjoying a free linux life style. I am familiar with all Debian distros, Ubuntu by far is the best.

    Unreal Tournament 3 as far as I know doesn't have a native Linux installer yet.
