    [SOLVED] Shutdown menu long delay

I have Hardy installed on a laptop and on a desktop with the desktop twice as fast both as speed and latency. Yet, the desktop shows the shutdown menu after a long delay - both from the red button on the top bar and from the System menu. What's causing this and how can it be corrected?

Perhaps the powermanager is disabled. Go to System-->Preferences-->Sessions-->Power Manager.

You'll have to re-login for any changes to show. Good luck.

Same thing here. It also now only logs me out, instead of popping up that window.

Started in the last 2-4 days, along with a ton of other (much more major) problems. I'M trolling the boards and google constantly trying to find a solution.

Weird as it is, this is the solution: the power manager. Thank you.
