    Is the SiS Mirage 3 Graphics card supported

    Hiya,

    I'm looking at buying a new laptop and just wondered if the SiS Mirage 3 Graphics card is supported in Heron for Compiz etc.

    Most probably not.

    But for the sake of clarity... it's the other way around: SiS doesn't support Ubuntu/Linux/Compiz.

    If you want integrated video, go for intel.

    Thanks for this and for the clarification! I figured that would be the case and went for a different laptop. Unfortunately, it isn't intel, but ATI, so I think there will be some configurating to do...

    i have a sis intergrated graphics card
    sis= no 3d whatsoever
    i also have an ati radeon igp 345m 128mb graphics card in a laptop = no 3d

    Sorry, hadn't been around. The graphics chip is: ATI Radeon X2300. I hope that this will work!
