    Animated .Gif wallpaper?

Hey, i was wondering if it is possible to have an animated .gif as my wallpaper. [and keep it animated.] I tried, but it sticks with the first frame, [static] and i'd like to utilize animation for my desktop.

Any help? I can't be the only person that wants this...>_>"

I'm not sure about gifs, but you can run screensavers and movies as your wallpaper using xwinwrap. I've never tried xwinwrap, so I can't guarantee anything, but you could give this tutorial a shot: http://tombuntu.com/index.php/2007/0...ion-on-ubuntu/ .

Appreciate the effort, but his tut = no icons on desktop, tad bit useless to me I'm afraid.
