[SOLVED] "Print file was not accepted (Unsupported format 'application/octet-stream'!

Trying to print through the network. Used to be able to print through the network to a computer running a Dapper variant (Mepis). Haven't updated anything on any of my computers. The Mepis box still prints locally, but suddenly won't accept any print jobs from either of my laptops (one Gutsy, and one Hardy). I used to print to the Mepis box with the Gutsy laptop all the time. Now, when I try to print from either laptop through the network, I get:

"Print file was not accepted (Unsupported format 'application/octet-stream'!)!"

The Mepis box prints fine locally. I get the same error message on all three computers. The Gutsy/Hardy boxes both report that they see the printer just fine.

    Any ideas?

    Yay! Got it!

A somewhat inelegant solution...I uninstalled CUPS and reinstalled it via Synaptic.

    Now works perfectly.
