I have a solution to one of my problems in one of my old posts, and yet when I search my old posts, the Ubuntu forums search engine doesn't go back in time far enough. How can I recall my really old posts?

Steady movement is more important than speed, much of the time. So long as there is a regular progression of Stimuli to get your mental hooks into, there is room for lateral movement. Once this begins, its rate is a matter of discretion.
Try asking the Ubuntuforum's OP's/staffs. Maybe, they could guide you on that.
