How do I get out of safe graphics mode?

I'm new to linux, but I decided to breathe some new life into my old machine by installing Xubuntu. I was having problems installing from the CD, so I chose to install it in safe graphics mode, figuring it would be easy enough to change it back once everything was installed. Now, however, I seem to be stuck with an insanely low resolution, and I can't find any way to get out of it. How do I get out of safe graphics mode? Or do I have have to install the whole thing again? I know the computer is capable of running in normal mode, as I can get it to work fine by booting directly from the CD, Help.

I would try rebooting and, when the grub menu (or countdown) comes up, hit escape and choose the first "(recovery mode)" option. That will give you a menu after a bit and one of the options will be "xfix". If you choose that, it should detect and setup your graphics card correctly.
Don't try to make something "fast" until you are able to quantify "slow".

Fantastic, that has fixed the problem. Thank you very much.
