    resize ubuntu space

    hello i have installed ubuntu 8.04 and xp in one partition and i want to add more space to ubuntu from xp. i tried to boot from ubuntu live cd and opened gparted. then i selected the partition and resize. but there was no option to resize only ubuntu but all the partition

    sorry for my poor English, any help?

    Did you install ubuntu via wubi or clean install with extra partition?

    i installed ubuntu from xp at the same partition

    So, I guess you installed it via wubi, inside windows, right?

    I don't know how (if you can) to resize ubuntu in this way.
    Stop trying to do it with gparted because you can't. Both of OS are on same partition.

    Let's wait for someone who knows.
