Install help for NEC Ready 120LT

I am attempting to install Unbuntu 8.04 on a NEC 8"LCD Laptop model Ready 120LT with 64MB SDRAM a Neomagic PCI graphics chip on the motherboard which has a max resolultion of 1024x768.

My screen is in text or terminal mode and reads as follows:

    BusyBox v1.1.3 (Debian 1:1.1.3-5Ubuntu7) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

From this point on what do I do? Is linux installed and if so how can I get to a GUI mode? Or can I?

I have 20+ years working with MSDOS/Windows and would like to try Linux out for a spin. Can I do that with this little NEC laptop?

    Confused new user.

with only having 64meg of ram, you are on the extreme low side for running Ubuntu. It might work with Fluxbuntu but I have my doubts if you will get it working with Gnome or KDE as they require at least 256 to run the live cd. You may want to look at puppy linux or DSL for that machine.
    Debian Testing(64bit) + XFCE4 AM2 5200+ ATI Radeon HD4350, 4gig RAM,320Gig and 750gig HDs

what's the difference between an answer and a solution? An answer is what they want to hear, a solution is what they don't want to hear
