Is that ia64.deb supposed to be like the amd64 files? If so, it didn't work for me, I had to downloaded the .deb from Launchpad: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/478478...ntu5_amd64.deb

Trying to install covergloobus on Ubuntu 10.10

I add repo and when I do : sudo apt-get update, I get this in terminal:
    Code:
W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/gloobus-dev/covergloobus/ubuntu/dists/maverick/main/source/Sources.gz 404 Not Found

W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/gloobus-dev/covergloobus/ubuntu/dists/maverick/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz 404 Not Found

E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
after that sudo apt-get install covergloobus gets me :
    Code:
E: Unable to locate package covergloobus
    any help? thanks in advance...

Yes, it's installed - and the ppa too, but often (very often - for the last 4 days in a row now) I'm unable to clear my updates because of this repo.

Just be sure to make sure you check the sources and select the fastest of them - see if a change in server will clear it up for you.

    Hello,

I just installed gloobus, and I dont know how I could live before
One small problem the openoffice dokuments are only shown as symbols and not the text itself.
Is there a way to fix it?
So pdg and pictures are shown correct.

In the small symbol is the browser there I can see the text with the help of nautilus but sadley not if I hit the space bar and want to make it big there only the smybol can be seen.

    Best wishes

Re: Gloobus, a QuickLook for linux

Installed gloobus-preview as per the instructions found here (under "Installing Gloobus Preview from Source (recommended)") but when I try to use it it just opens a gloobus preview window of my user folder (I defined a keyboard shortcut in compiz for gloobus-preview to open directly with the keyboard and when use that key combination with a file selected all I get is that window)...
Moreover, when trying to run Gloobus-preview on a Clipboard file using this method in Terminal:
    Code:
    gloobus-preview
    I get this error:
    Code:
    ** (gloobus-preview:2010): WARNING **: Config file couldn't be readed
[WARNING] No cover found, using default icon
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS with Macbuntu installed too...

    Anyone knows what's wrong here?
Did I do anything wrong with the installation? Or is it related to Macbuntu stuff?

    Appreciate your help guys!

    Cheers!

Re: Gloobus, a QuickLook for linux

Hi to all!! This is my first time in this thread!

I've been using covergloobus for months, adapted some themese for my personal use, etc.

Is there way to format the text displayed adding extra elements?
e.g. add a dot after track number, closing the length within [ ] etc.

    Thanks

Hi! I've had some problem with the package in the repository.

I'm on ubuntu maverick 64 bit and I use guayadeque as mediaplayer.

I have downloaded the source code using the bazaar branch (the development channel of covergloobus)

to download it, type this in the terminal

    bzr branch lp:covergloobus
    cd covergloobus
    ./configure
    make
    sudo make install

Then you can find it the the menu or run it using the terminal.

    This works for me.
