    1. It first looks for the cover in the mp3 file (using libtag) if not found, then searches for cover.jpg and then for cover.png in the folder where the file is

    2. Can you send me one of those files? can you open them in OO

    3. Answered in the bug report, but maybe is a graphics card bug, wich one do you have?
    1. Can I set it up to check for folder.jpg/png?

    2. Yes, I can open in OpenOffice.

Sheesh. 54 pages!!! Can someone tell me briefly how to get this running on Ubuntu 9.10? I've installed from PPA but am stuck at that point.

Never mind, I found out how at https://answers.launchpad.net/gloobus/+question/83626 and have it running.

However, I fail to see any advantage to this program. Opening files in "preview" is really no faster than opening them with the default program!

Well, try opening a video or pdf, or a openoffice file, or a xcf or psd file.

Anyway If you prefer opening them in the default app, you're free to use of course

I really like this program. The only problem I have with it right now is that I cannot use it with samba shares in Nautilus.

Re: Gloobus, a QuickLook for linux

First of all, this is very good for Ubuntu. Congrats and thanks!

    Now, my question:

Is Cover flow, right now worked with Karmic?; How can I activate it so that it works with Gloobus preview?

Re: Gloobus, a QuickLook for linux

Ctrl+Space doesn't initialise coverflow, it just exits.

    Code:
    surt@muspell:~$ gloobus-preview img/02033_sunriseinareeiro_1920x1080.jpg
    CONTENT FOLDER: ./img
    Actual file number: 0
    Mime Type: image/jpeg
    Creating Plugin Class: image
    IMAGE (iPhoto)
    Creating iPhoto...
    PLUGIN: Loading photo (./img/02033_sunriseinareeiro_1920x1080.jpg)
    [INFO] Key Pressed Control_L (65507)
    [INFO] Key Pressed space (32)
    Destory Plugin:
    Destroying iPhoto...
    surt@muspell:~$
It seems as if the space bar is used to open & close the application, and also from the limited information I could find, to initialise coverflow. Could it be conflicting?

Feature idea... what about renaming previewed files by clicking on the top of the gloobus?

    Hi,

coverflow is not a plugin, it's a different program (an experimentation) it's not available in any ppa. If u want to try it u have to compile it, see gloobus.net for more detail.

Hi - really sorry to ask this, I must be missing something obvious but I cannnot get this workng at all, I installed the repositry and app via ubuntu tweak, when i click on the app in the menu nothing happens and when i hit space over a document it launches in the program itself - thanks for any hep, this looks good.
