Integrate existing Win XP... Virtual Box?

Ok guys I'm brand new to Ubuntu and so far I love it. The thing is I have a ton of application installed on my Windows XP partition. I want to be able to run them through linux and I've found that virtual box appears to be my best solution... From what I've been reading though I have to create a virtual drive and install a fresh copy of windows on it. That will give me a windows environment inside of ubuntu but how can I move my existing windows over into it... I don't have all of the install files for all of my programs as I have accumulated them over a few years and if I did it would be a pain to re-install all of them into the virtual drive. Cheers!

Use caution when doing this as its possible to mess up your windows install.

You guys rock! I'll test this on one of my crappy systems that I don't care about destroying to make sure I can do it successfully then I'll try it on my actual machine. Cheers!
