    Linux resources in NC

I know there's these resources in NC:
    Carolina Open Source Initiative
    UNC LUG
    Duke LUG
    State LUG
    Charlotte LUG
    Triangle LUG

are there any others? Greensboro LUG or Asheville LUG perhaps?

Reporting two in the Piedmont Triad area:

PLUG = PLUG It's over ten years old, speaker meetins are usually held at Wake Forest, I got started using Linux at a PLUG Installfest in '99.

GLUG = GLUG I don't know any of these folks but looks like a fairly active group.

I like to imagine little clusters of curious people all over the state in the rural areas.

If you are going to be part of a university, then I am almost positive there is a lug group at each state and private uni in the state of NC. If you have any further questions, I'm sure I could help point you in the right direction. And if you're desperate enough, you could just hang out in the RedHat Headquarters in Raleigh =D

Links to sites for the university LUGs? Not that it matters to me anymore...I'm living in Madison, WI now.

I doubt that all the private uni's have a LUG, but maybe they do. My dad teaches at one and I've never heard of a LUG from there and I'm sure he would have told me if he knew of one.

Sadly enough, many of the LUG's don't have well established sites, regardless of the fact that there may be well established clubs or just linux circles of friends.

uncclug.org is Charlotte's, but the site is currently down, as they are working on getting a new host.

lug.ncsu.edu is up for NC State.

The rest, I believe, may have theirs buried within their uni's domain. What uni does your father work at? Again, most of these unis don't have groups, but may just be friends amongst themselves, so you just have to ask around.

UNC Charlotte's Linux Users Group has a new website.
    http://uncclug.com

I'm working on getting the .org transferred over so we can use that as a domain as well.
