gdm [7194] error

hi

I have a thinkpad T61 (2 GB RAM, nvidia quadro nvs 140m, 120 gb hdd) and i run 32-bit ubuntu 8.04 on it.

i recently installed the latest nvidia drivers for my card (173.14.05). On the surface, it seems to work fine. Except when i shut down, i get an error which says (cannot recall exactly) :
gdm [7194] assertion hash_table_lookup != NULL

is it anything that i should be worried about?

other than that message, does your computer work OK? i get tons of error messages upon shutdown, but my computer works perfect. it's probably nothing to worry about.

yeah, it seems to work fine so far. nothing to worry about there.

but i never faced this particular error message with the older version of my nvidia driver. My driver install did whine about a few files, but all the graphics-intensive apps seem to work fine. that said, i am looking around for the possibility that it is an issue with the 173 driver itself.
