I cant seem to get any Ubuntu 8.04 distro (kubuntu, edubuntu etc . .) to install on my ABit IP35-E board. Some have had issues from my googling, but nothing seems to work. I have tried the irqpoll trick, and moving my drives over to SATA 5 and 6(someone said that worked for them). My Cd and HDD are SATA. Any ideas?
edit: I realized I hadn't posted where it freezes. The install freezes at "Mounting Root Filesystem" In Kubuntu. THe alternate install CD complains that it cant find the CD drive, and asks which module to load for the CD drive.
