I can't seem to get any sound at all out of my 8.04 installation. The sound worked in 6.06.

Most usual issues with ubuntu on powerpc are documented at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PowerPC. There is also a sction about adding the most common sound module.

That kind of works. I can get sound, but only for about 10 seconds.
