spam killer

I am new to the Linux engine I picked Ubuntu after seeing it on a mates PC.
I have installed it on my Laptop with no problems.
All is working well BUT I do get some spam emails.
Is there any free spam stoppers/killer software I can install.
And how easy is it to install having not installed anything as yet.

go into synaptic package manager and download SPAMASSASSIN. I use evolution, in the preferences, you should see where you can specify spamassassin as your filter for junk.
