i wonder if anybody can help? i am looking for a SMV convertor for ubuntu. for information, SMV is the SigmaTel Motion Video format used by a selection of mobile devices.

i found a number of freeware Windows products, but have had no success converting any AVI or WMV files, probably due the use of Windows Codecs.

i have also found this website, claiming to have created a linux version; http://www.codu.org/smvconv/ but i have been unsuccessful at compiling the source code.

can anybody help?
