    [SOLVED] debs listed in 3rd party software in software sources

    I am trying to find out what I should add to get extra packages for compiz and launchpad.

    it depends on what you want really, if you want the full compiz experience make sure these packages are installed:
    compiz
    compizconfig-backend-gconf
    compizconfig-settings-manager
    compiz-fusion-plugins-extra
    compiz-fusion-plugins-main
    compiz-gnome
    compiz-plugins
    libcompizconfig0
    libdecoration0
    python-compizconfig

    not sure i know what you mean. do you mean compiz-fusion plugins? in synaptic, i see 2. plugins-main, and plugins-extra.

    I am basically looking for deb lines to add to 3rd party software that would allow me to just go to synaptic or apptitude and load plugins, wallpaper,ect. without having to compile these packages. I am also looking to add launchpad so I can get the most current version of firefox 3.0 rc2.
