I have a zoltrix modem with SmartLink chipset. i have installed the sl-modem-source package from ubuntu repo (Hardy), and want to compile and install it by module-assistant using this command:

sudo module-assistant auto-install sl-modem
as explained at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Di...owto/Smartlink but module assistant returns an error like "operation failed"
i have read the operation log, somewhere there is an error : "there is no rule to make the target 'clean' " or something similar to, you can test yourself
someone told me to install "fakeroot",and i did, but there is no difference
what's wrong?
