It says it needs to run in a low performance mode

I restarted ubuntu after having installed Virtualbox and it said it needed to run in low settings mode. It wouldn't let me connect to the internet, the screen resolution was 800x600 and desktop effec ts had been disabled. I then restarted again to see if it would run properly and it didn't. I then uninstalled Virtualbox and restarted again and it remained the same. I'm now on windows and need to know how to get it to work in the normal mode again. I havn't changed anything else with my system.

Re: It says it needs to run in a low performance mode

When i went back to ubuntu to do that, it was back to 1280x786 and it should've been 1280x800 but i thought never mind, i'll fix that soon. I still didn't have any internet but done the instructions in that post (I noted it down). I uninstalled it but then couldn't install it again because i had no internet connection. So i'm back in windows now, what do i do? I think i have just done the wrong thing.
