Download XP-drivers when in Ubuntu??
My hubby's Compaq Pres 5020NL, had a double boot Ubuntu Hardy/Vista.
I downgraded Vista to XP, with a clean install. Now there are several drivers missing, network card among others.
So in XP there is no internet connection, but in Ubuntu there is. Can I download the XPdrivers while I'm online in Ubuntu?
Can I store the XP-drivers from Ubuntu on the XP-partition (NTFS)? Or must I create an NTFS partition which they can both read, first?
My first attempt resulted in a tar-file after unzipping and I doubt if XP can use that when I burn it to CD.

Reason: it's not xubuntu related as the label says, but ubuntu
