CPU over voltage error while restarting

Every time I restart my computer from ubuntu, it gives me that error while starting. I don't get the error if I shut down and start my computer manually and I don't get it while restarting from window$. The error is something like this.

Checking NVRAM...
CPU Over voltage error. Press F1 to continue

This is your BIOS reporting this error, I'm hard pressed to believe it has anything to do with what operating system you were/are running. Is it 100% consistent that it does not occur when rebooting from Windows? Have you ever changed the CPU settings on your BIOS from their defaults?

I would attempt a settings reset in your BIOS to eliminate the possibility of bad configuration options.

I don't think it is related to operating system either. Check your BIOS settings or just reset them. If you don't have an option to reset the BIOS settings, take out and replace the small 3V tablet battery on your mobo to reset the settings.
