Does ubuntu need the NTFS system in windows to use the wubi installer?
Have fat32 on win2000 system and getting way too many (initramfs) screens. Have installed ubuntu..Kubuntu....etc with same result.
I can reboot and select the repair option and get into ubuntu but I have to choose the repair option everytime or I get the (initramfs) screen.
I don't know if it requires NTFS. It would make sense that it would, as my understanding of Wubi is that it creates the Ubuntu installation as an actual file inside of Windows (to avoid repartitioning), and FAT32 has a filesize limit of 4 GB.
