First Cup of Ubuntu
I'm not sure if this notebook will work with Ubuntu, I'm pretty sure the X3100 will work flawlessly from other threads that I've read, but I'm not to sure about the wireless.

Way Too Much Ubuntu
That product info didn't give the wireless chipset. Dig out the manual from the HP site and find that info. If it's Intel it probably works. If not, ????
