TP-LINK TL-WN610G (chipset AR5212) not working

Good afternoon,
I am Linux newbie.
I try to run my PCMCIA card TP-LINK TL-WN610G in my notebook.

Compatible with Madwifi
http://madwifi.org/wiki/Compatibility/TP-Link

I connect this device to my notebook and Hardy 8.04 inform me that Hardy use propietary drivers for the device.
I see that there is Driver table for
Atheros Hardware Access Layer (HAL) - Enabled - In use
Support for Atheros 802.11 wireless LAN cards - Enabled - in use

I am very sad because I cannot make this hardware to work.
If I rightclick on Network Manager in tray ->Edit Wireless Network
I do not see any Wireless network.
