Need Help With Capture Card / Converting 8mm and Hi8 to AVI/DVD
Hello Guys,
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, please move it if it is.
So, I'm trying to digitize my families 8mm and hi8 tapes. I have two USB capture cards, I was wondering how I could go about setting up either one, and what software should I use to capture the video.
Capture Device Number 1: Adaptec GameBridge 1410 rev.A
I can install this one in Windows Vista, and it works in there, sorry I couldn't find any helpful information for linux on this one.
Capture Device Number 2: Dazzle DVC-80
I can't install this in Vista, no longer supported in Vista, was supported in XP, but I can't install XP on my comp (stupid HP BIOS). The information I could find for this one is that it is supported by the usbvision driver, however, I have no clue on how to install the driver or what software to use afterwards.
I would REALLY appreciate it if someone could help me figure out a way to get either of these two setup, and also, what software I should use to capture the video.
Thanks.
