menu bars and workspace bars

For some reason the bars that are generally at the top and bottom of my screen have disappeared. How do I get them back?

For some reason the bars that are generally at the top and bottom of my screen have disappeared. How do I get them back?

Right click and then new panel at the top or bottom of the screen then same to get add to panel to set up what you want there. I had to open my xubuntu desktop to see if this is correct it may not be I will work on it a bit.

Can you open a terminal?
If so, run

gnome-panel

in it.
